Maintenance
Verdia One requires little maintenance.
Simply monitor the water level and refill the reservoir approximately every 1 to 2 weeks, depending on your plants' consumption.
Between crops, rinse the reservoir before starting again.

Before you start
Does the Verdia One consume a lot of electricity?
No, its consumption remains very low. The LED lamp (20 W) is the main source of consumption; in typical use (about 14 hours of lighting per day, which corresponds to the recommended cycle for plant growth), this represents about 8 to 9 kWh per month. The water pump, which operates in short cycles (30 min on / 30 min off) and consumes very little (a few watts), adds barely 1 to 2 additional kWh per month.
In total, it is around 10 kWh/month, or about €2 per month at the current French electricity rate — less than the cost of a coffee per week, for a kitchen garden that produces fresh herbs and vegetables all year round.
Do I need any gardening experience?
No, the manual guides you step-by-step, and the system manages the watering and lighting. Add water and your seeds (ours, or whichever you prefer, just be mindful of the plant size), and let them grow.
Do I need sun or soil?
No. Verdia One works without soil, and its integrated horticultural lighting makes it possible to grow indoors even without a very sunny spot.
Can I use my own seeds?
Yes. Belverdia hydroponic gardens are compatible with most vegetable and herb seeds. No proprietary capsules are required.
You are not obligated to purchase seeds from our site: if you cannot find the variety you need, buy it elsewhere and sow it in the provided sponges.
Do you really ship from Europe?
Yes. Shipped from our European warehouse. For mainland France, allow 7 to 10 business days after order confirmation, free delivery.
